Five things this week 17/25

This is an excellent half term, only 5 weeks long of which 2 are 4 day weeks. When you add in a DofE camp, lots of special events and a more outdoor curriculum, I’m a big fan of the summer term. We had a nice lazy day for Easter Monday, as I wasn’t able to go to the gym, I went for an early morning run and pleasantly surprised myself with the distance I ran and how comfortable I felt. As I’m unable to make the gym this Monday again, I repeated the long run with an extra mile on Sunday. After my run, which wasn’t comparable to 26.2, I watched the London marathon, one of my favourite races of the year and was amused to see my dad’s name on the leading British runners. I did text him the photo and a little jokey message but he didn’t read the names on the screen so it was a bit lost on him… Marathon Sunday is always so emotional and inspiring it makes you in awe at how brilliant people are.

As the boys were at football on Sunday, we popped over to the garden centre on Saturday afternoon for a few things. Gardening is not my thing but fortunately my husband loves it. My job is to simply sit in it and admire the flowers. The bonus of a trip to the garden centre is that has a great cafe, gardens and gift and farm shops so it’s not a bad way to while away a couple of hours. I did replace an indoor plant, which I had managed to keep alive for a few years until a rather enthusiastic watering killed it off (not guilty) I picked up a book a few weeks ago too so fingers crossed I can cultivate my little indoor garden. I do like to have plants indoors, they give a sense of wellbeing.

Although this hasn’t been the best of weather the weekend saw a change, typically post parkrun, and it’s been lovely to take time outside. On Sunday afternoon, I sat in the sunshine with my book, it’s always the simple pleasures which are the best.

Earlier in the week, on the rainy Bank holiday afternoon, I enjoyed playing on AI. After having fun with family photos, I asked it to adapt a photo of our home into a Beatrix Potter inspired photo. I like the result although the kitchen extension appears to be missing, perhaps it’s showing me what the house would have looked like in Potter’s lifetime.

Finally back at work and we made good progress on the mermaid tail hunt, finding four. It’s a fun activity and our display board is filling up with our photos. I’m really interested to see how many we manage to collect in the next half term.

Whilst next week js a 5 day working week, when you have a long weekend to look forward to it always feel a little more light and fun. I have a few busy nights so will be grateful for an extra long lie.

Five things this week 16/25

This has been such a busy Easter holiday that very unusually for me, I did not decorate the house and whilst I did a roast for Easter Sunday dinner, today, it was not one of my special menus. We only had a few days at home after Cornwall before we spent some time in Bristol with family to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday.

The week started with a few days at home. After a long drive home on Saturday, Sunday was a day for unpacking, laundry and booking our next holiday. As soon as we had unpacked it seemed to be time for packing again. I do feel that I have mastered the art of packing but it’s an art my husband and son need to learn. I had one neat weekend bag with all I needed, they shared a huge holiday bag and still needed more room. We are flying out to Rome to start our summer holiday and the boys will need to carefully pack to be in the weight luggage limit. I’ve been tracking the ideal capsule wardrobe on Pinterest and have started my planning.

On Monday night, I took my son to football ( a win ) and tracked down the first mermaid tail in an art trail raising funds for the local children’s hospice. It’ll be my little challenge in the coming weeks, I also managed to find one when shopping on Saturday.

On Tuesday the boys returned to the stadium for more football, the development squad whilst I stayed at home for a plumber to fit a new cylinder. It was one of those odd days, I couldn’t do much as it was a big job and as the cupboard is at the top of the stairs I was restricted to down stairs and then there were times with no water or electricity and a lot of noise. The plumber was fantastic, so helpful and tidy and it was a good job to tick off. As I knew I was likely to be in all day, I did an early run along a windy seafront. I did enjoy the Dr Seuss inspired beach hut.

On Wednesday we headed to Bristol to celebrate my father-in-law’s 93rd birthday and spent a few days with him. It is a gentle pace with him now, so a quiet few days. On his birthday we were joined by other members of the family for lunch. It was great to see everyone and my son certainly benefited in Easter eggs.

Although I had hoped to have a few days driving free, I needed to take my son shopping on Saturday for some essentials and to pick up a few orders. I popped into Boots to print off some photos from our Cornish holiday and am already displaying them on my bureau. I also picked up a full length mirror, something missing from our house since we did some decorating and recycled the wardrobes with the mirrors. I’m quite relieved at this as checking your appearance in a window reflection is not really the best way to check your look!

After a fortnight of family fun and seeing all our extended family, it’s been nice to have a very quiet Easter. I did refill the Easter tin with sweet nibbles but this was my only real seasonal nod. This is just a temporary pause on celebrating Easter because of a busy holiday, all my decorations, menus, treats and more will return in 2026.

Five Cornish Places this week 15/25

This week saw an Easter getaway to Cornwall. We booked this simply for a chance to go away, relax and rest. Given how early in the season it was, our expectations for decent weather were low and we had planned for swimming, indoor activities etc.. However, we were so lucky and got the best weather we’ve ever had on our Cornish breaks, most of which have been in August. It was interesting to look back on photos in the same place and compare the weather, bright blue skies in April, grey, cloudy skies in August!

  1. St Minver and Wadebridge. We had booked a caravan on the Parkdean St Minver park, to be used as a base for exploring around the area. The site was lovely, small and friendly but with an excellent pool and impressive sauna. It was safe for the children to be out on their own, our son always managed to find someone to play football with and as night fell around 9pm, they were back for snacks and tv / Nintendo at a reasonable time. It was a country park rather than a beach park, but as we live about 100 metres from a beach, we enjoyed the difference and our walks through the woods and fields. Our local town was Wadebridge, which I though was a lovely little town, we had dinner here a couple of evenings and enjoyed walking around.
  2. Padstow. We went to Padstow twice on our break. On our first trip we went to explore the area and then on to have a pasty and some fudge as an ‘enticement’ for some for the walk Padstow is such a gorgeous town and it had a picture perfect bookshop. It was the sort of ivy lined bookshop which you imagine being the setting for a Cornish Romcom. We then returned to Padstow later in the week for dinner. We had an excellent dinner at Embers, my baked goats cheese salad was amazing. However we found a new delicacy in Padstow too, deep fried creme eggs in a fish and chip shop. The children couldn’t resist and tried them, the reviews were very favourable, ‘banging’
  3. Newquay. Newquay was a place we visited several times on our trip. There is a fantastic pool with slides, Oasis, near the town and we had two great trips there over the week. The children’s holiday request was for surfing lessons and we booked them into the Fistral Beach surf school for a morning. They had a brilliant time, our daughter was a natural and it was a joy to see her so full of life and joyful after her lesson. She was able to stand on her board, our son was also equally enthusiastic although a little more tired after the experience. We also had a girls / boys afternoon in Newquay. The girls went for very nice lunch in a cafe and then a potter around the shops. I’m not quite sure what the boys did although it involved pick and mix sweets and a Wetherspoons!
  4. Bude. We had never been to Bude before and although the furthest trip from our base, it was a great town to discover on a sunny afternoon, definitely a place to return to.
  5. The Eden Project. I love Eden, this was our third trip and it was even more spectacular than before. I was thinking of my favourite places I’ve visited and this easily makes the list, it is so special to me. We took our favourite photo shots, in the same places as the previous visits and its stunning to see how Eden has changed over the years, our first visit was in 2002, the next in 2017 and now in 2025. This time not only did we get to do the rope bridge but also the panoramic hanging viewpoint at the top of the tropical biodome, on which you are looking down on a rainforest, what an experience. The weather as it had been for the week was stunning and the colours from the bright blue skies to the vibrant flowers and greenery, truly gorgeous. Whilst it was eight years since my last Eden trip, I returned less than 24 hours later to do the parkrun. I can’t believe I have a hobby that lets me visit and run in amazing places for free. It was as brilliant as I had hoped, a challenging course with the zigzags up and down but run in the most amazing surroundings. I felt so blessed to be there and it was a very special morning.

Our Cornish Easter holiday was so good in so many different ways, a time of connection, fun, beauty and sunshine. A very special holiday to remember for a long time.

More than five things these weeks 13 & 14 / 25

So again, I’m catching up with my blog. The last two weeks of the term were very busy with life and not much to record. As the Finding Nemo cartoon above shows I just kept fully focused on writing reports over a weekend and a number of evenings. I love teaching special needs but the amount of report writing / evidence commentary is intense and dominates my life for the final fortnight of each term.

I am really focused on my wellbeing this year and even in this busy time I have made sure that I found time for daily walks and the gym. I have always detested the treadmill and avoided it. However since joining my local gym I have taken tentative steps to use it more and think I may actually be enjoying it. I can’t believe I do a 30 minute session on it each time. The training videos do help to motivate and challenge. I really like the instructor in the video so cheerful and motivating without being OTT.

In this period I have also read two books Piglet and Yellow Face. Both left me wanting more answers at the end, Piglet especially, what did her fiancé do? Both were good reads but not on my to be recommended read lists.

Also on this timeline was Mothers day, my early flowers lasted remarkably well and only had to be thrown away the day before we went on holiday so had nearly 2 week’s vase life. If I had them on the correct date, I would only have got to enjoy them for 5 days. On Mothers day I got a handmade card from my football mad son. It was done with great care and although it had a footballer on it, he is significant. His name is Antoine Semenyo and he is my favourite player, the photo in Bristol City colours is a lovely nod to my old team.

The last week was a crazy mix of two nights out on mum duties including watching a football match, our team lost, which meant a 12.00am bedtime and I was still up for the gym at 5.45am, not quite sure who this person is sometimes. There was also holiday packing and organisation and the fun events of the final week of term. Our holiday is much needed.

Five things this week 12/25

After a quiet week, filled with late work nights, I was wondering what I could have as my 5 things this week. However with the weekend comes the opportunity to get out and have fun. In a weekend of spring sunshine, I spent lots of time outside, everyone needs to feel the sunshine on your face.

  1. Adolescence. This is the must watch series on Netflix and like many other people we watched it this week, one episode a night. It’s so good and so frightening on the effects of social media on our young people. A heartbreaking story so brilliantly done.
  2. The Wedding People. In total contrast to Adolescence, this audiobook on my commute was funny and heartwarming, a five star read. The setting is a hotel on the beach, so it seemed fitting to listen to the final chapters whilst walking today along the beach. It’s the sort of book which is simply, life affirming. It also had a brilliant and correct ending.
  3. A beach walk. Today the boys were off to watch the football and I had a free day. The sun was so warm that I really wanted to get out and enjoy it. Rather than go to our local beach, a mere 100 or so metres from our front door, I chose to go to the next beach along as I could walk for a longer distance and enjoy the contrast of the heathers, sands and dunes. It was a delightful way to spend my morning. I made the half way point the National Trust visitor centre and shop and unexpectedly bought myself a beautiful pair of earrings and necklace. I had no intention of buying anything but the stock in the shop was so pretty. I also enjoyed a little sit down on the sand, with my drink and snack, who have I become being that organised on my trips? It was a pretty perfect moment looking out to sea and appreciating the scene. It did bring back lockdown memories, as we had a few trips to this beach during the lockdown and I remember how quiet and still it was. Today marks 5 years since Lockdown was announced so I think this news story triggered the memories. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…
  4. Mother’s Day flowers. Yesterday we were in ‘big’ town for a few jobs and whilst the boys did an errand, I popped into the supermarket and as is typical in spring bought my favourite £1 daffodils. My husband questioned why I had bought flowers when it was Mother’s Day the next day. I was a little confused as firstly he would never begrudge me a few flowers and as I said to him Mother’s Day isn’t till next Sunday. The look on his face was priceless as it turns out that he was convinced it was this weekend and whilst I was out at parkrun, he and my son had gone to town to get flowers for Sunday. Fortunately we all saw the humour in the mistake and I received my flowers this morning. I love that we’ll never forget these Mother’s Day flowers!
  5. Duolingo 100. I started my Italian in December as we hope to go to Italy this year and my streak went to 100 this week. That little owl is always popping up to remind me and as annoying as it is, I haven’t missed a day yet!

Similar to this week, it’s a quiet week but then building up to a very important football game next weekend. I think football will dominate our conversations at dinner this week and I’m already getting nervous and it’s a week away!

5 Things this week ( the extended version for weeks 10 & 11.

I’m writing for a couple of weeks as I’ve been fighting a cough and cold for much of the past two weeks and not too much has happened. It’s been that sort of illness where I’ve been in work everyday but have needed quiet evenings and early nights, and have definitely been powered by Lemsip. Fortunately, it has finally lifted now and I’m feeling so much better and full of energy, as we skip towards spring. Below are some of the highlights of the past few weeks.

  1. Pancake day. Whilst I love pancakes it is something that I really struggle to make (honestly I pride itself myself on my cooking skills and I love to cook, but pancakes are for some reason my Achilles heal.) After last year’s disastrous attempts, both at work and home, I delegated chef duties this year. My son has proven to be a very skilled pancake chef so that’s his job going forward and one of my TAs helped make amazing pancakes too. With the successful cooking I had a lovely Shrove Tuesday and everyone enjoyed tasty pancakes, phew 😮‍💨
  2. World Book day. Sometimes in the school calendar, timings are poor and this year having pancake day and World Book day on the same week was hard work, with lots of excited children! At my school, we all dress up and our class team had chosen The Wizard of Oz. My team excelled again in their costumes and we always make the children costumes too, so no child is left out and we show how creative we can be with the resources available. I was the Tim man and purchased a sequin dress and silver leggings from leggings from Vinted. The dress (£2) is gorgeous and such a beautiful fit, although purchased as fancy dress it needs to be promoted to my fancy clothes, it’s amazing what you can get on Vinted. The very sparkling silver leggings were spot on but they definitely are going in the fancy dress pile! I also bought silver face and body paint which really set the outfit off, along with my oil can and filter hat which I spray painted at home. I do enjoy making the effort to make the occasion special and of course we’re already thinking of book costumes for next year.
  3. Football stadiums. My son and husband are enjoying visiting new away grounds with their team. Last week they went to the new Spurs stadium and sent me lots of photos of their day out. It was a very early start as I needed to drop them off in ‘big town’ for 7.15 so that was a 6.30am departure. Over dinner the next night they told me of a funny story involving some lads in front. By coincidence the next day at school one of our TAs was telling me the exact same story, a quick look at the photos the boys had sent me through and there he was in the photos only 3 rows in front. It’s a small world!
  4. I was looking forward to my day home alone whilst the boys were in London, but the combination of jobs and the ongoing cold meant that it wasn’t quite as restful as it should have been. I did pop into the gym on the way home for a workout and then went upstairs for a leisurely coffee and Sunday papers. It’s so rare to read the Sunday papers, they’re often not in cafes and the glossy sections are always a treat to read. At home, after popping into the supermarket for a healthy lunch and lots of flowers, I tackled my son’s new (used) cadet uniform which needed some repairs. It’s been a while since I got the sewing machine out but it did inspire me to some more projects. I’ve lots of squares so need to think how to work with them.
  5. This weekend I’ve been at my parents with my daughter. Of course Saturday morning meant parkrun and I went to a new venue at Burnham. I’ve now done a big chunk of the M5 west corridor. I’ve been to the park before, I met up with a friend who lives there in Covid times when we could only meet outside. The park is lovely with a big lake to run around, the course then left the park and went to the seafront. I got my best time of the year so a successful run for my 150th parkrun and two more venues to go to become an ‘official’ tourist on the 5k app challenges.
  6. Whilst I did my parkrun alone, my daughter was up and ready for our day out when I returned. We first went for a coffee and wander around Weston super Mare, I love the street art as you walk around town, it’s a feature and offers surprising views. We then went to have our nails done. This is my daughter’s favourite thing to have done and we had done our research on our phones the night before, saving our favourite designs. I learnt that this is a thing to do and that I needed to show my favourite to the nail technician. We went to a really good salon where it was brilliantly organised and fast! Unusually for me, as I’m a gel polish kind of girl, I decided, following advice from my daughter, to have some acrylics. I think the only ever time I’ve had them before was for my wedding which was over 20 years ago. I can’t stop looking at them, I am impressed and love that my hands look pretty. ‘Do pretty’ was one of my #25for25 so I feel I’m achieving this. I think I could be a convert but will reserve judgement until I’ve worn them for a few weeks and seen how well they last and adapt to my daily life. My daughter due to her college placement had a French polish acrylic set, she loves long nails but was willing to try the short nails to stay in the dress code.

As I write this we’ve had a lovely bright weekend, let’s hope this continues and that this is spring and all the light, warmth and colour it brings.

Five things this week .. 9/25

It felt that in this week we transitioned from winter to spring. The week started cold and very wet yet by the end sunny, warm days had returned as we entered March. Here’s hoping it wasn’t a blip and spring is here after a very grey, cold and wet winter. It was a busy but productive week and here’s my five things of the week.

  1. Some things are never quite as simple as they could be and this was the case with selling my car. Now, we know for certain Mr S will never drive again following his ABU, we made the decision to sell one of our cars, I can only drive one at a time! We started this process during half term on what we expected to be a morning job. Instead after two visits and IT problem after IT problem with a v well known used car sales website, we finally sold it to the main car dealer, my patience will only last so long. I photographed the wall painting, be bright, be happy, be you on my walk back to the bus station to get home after the sale and the sentiment just sang to me.
  2. Whilst World Book day is not until next week, I’ve been busy planning my costume this week. My class team are dressing as characters from the Wizard of Oz and I’m the tin man. Vinted has been amazing for my costume and I’ve been able to source my costume very reasonably. I love WBD, it was one of my favourite days when the children were at primary school and I’m pretty proud of our home made creations over the years.
  3. The rain.. the photo of the plant is from my classroom and I swapped the photo with my daughter whose view was quite different as she was spending a week in Morocco with my parents. Morocco looked lovely and well worth a little visit.
  4. The sun .. this was from Saturday morning where I had a great morning. My running progress continued, it must have been my new trail shoes and then I had a really enjoyable coffee in the cafe. It was a morning full of feel good vibes.
  5. Such feel good vibes continued into the afternoon. As the boys were at football I decided to take myself to the next town and go to watch the new Bridget Jones as a Saturday matinee. I love the old cinema, entirely run by volunteers and with a brilliant old fashioned atmosphere. It was full and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It made me realise that I have grown up with Bridget Jones and how life has changed since the publication of the first diary book when I was in my early 20s. It was the best of the film adaptions, full of humour, sadness and life, well worth a watch.

Five things this week 8/25

And so to half term and our trip to London continued. The photos look beautiful with the bright blue sky but it was freezing! The second part of the week was life admin, dentist, sorting everything out after our decorating projects and planning for the coming months. Here are my five things of the week …

  1. A sunny Thames walk. On Monday morning, I dropped off our case at Waterloo and whilst the boys went off to do the stadium double of Chelsea and Fulham, I went to Tate Britain. I decided to walk along the Thames and it was stunning, passing the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and other sites on a bright, sunny morning. I honestly get a little thrill each time I see Parliament, such an iconic building and as a politics graduate a very special place. When I was in 6th form, we did a visit and I was lucky enough to witness PMQs with Margaret Thatcher and Neil Kinnock, a core life memory, sad but true! I felt so happy and grateful walking along the Thames on Monday morning, admiring our lovely capital city and my place of birth in bright sunshine.
  2. Tate Britain. Amazingly, I had never visited Tate Britain before and from the outside I thought I was visiting a small gallery. It’s like the tardis, with so many rooms, floors and wings. I really enjoyed the 80s photography exhibition as I enjoy social history and I could remember so many of the events from my childhood. My politics were formed from life in the 80s. The galleries were great, although I definitely seem to have a preference for more modern works and sculpture.
  3. Selfridges. After Tate Britain, I jumped on the Tube to New Bond Street . It’s a lovely area to explore to see all the designer shops, Vogue HQ etc.. I also went to my favourite shop, Selfridges. I only needed some moisturiser but it’s always a treat to go in and wander. I came upon a walk-in back massage concession, I stopped for a 20 minute massage and it was amazing. I love Selfridges and how there is always something new to explore and experience.
  4. A new book. I do love Waterloo station for its shops, M&S for a train picnic, Oliver Bonas, for homeware and accessories and Foyles for books. I had a book token so was able to buy a book on colour, to complement my earlier gallery trip. It’s so interesting with a little page on each colour, its origins, even more social history in an easy to read format.
  5. Gym membership. This week, back at home, I had a gym induction. It’s not in our town but the neighbouring town. I’m giving it a try to see if it can fit into my life. I now have to be in the town for 2 hours on a Monday whilst my son does an activity so I thought I would use my time positively. I’m also pencilling a 6.30am session on a Thursday! I do pass the gym on my way to work so hopefully it will all work out. It’s very high tech, gone are the fitness programmes on card, it’s an app now. I went on Saturday afternoon as a quiet session to try and familiarise myself with the setup as I imagine Monday eve will be busy.

It’s back to school tomorrow although earlier today I started planning for our week in Cornwall, once one break is other I like to be looking forward to the next!

Five things this week 7/25

This week is a half and half post, I write Monday to Sunday so the school week is included and the first part of our little break. To be honest, the weekdays aren’t that exciting so I always need my weekends to brighten up the post!

  1. A new wall. Finally after years of deliberation, months of finding a carpenter and weeks of waiting for our slot we have a new dividing glass wall between our lounge and hallway. Our main aim was to create a cosier room whilst maintaining the light. We cannot believe the immediate effect it has had on the space, the lounge is toasty now, previously being a very cold room as it was so large. We haven’t really lost any space as it wasn’t used as an extension of the room and I have a few ideas about creating a more pleasing and functional hallway. My next job is to decide on the decor, we want to differentiate the rooms as they were decorated the same. We’re looking at a feature wallpapered section and complementary paint colours in the lounge and then colours to move upstairs to the large hallway there too. I feel a Pinterest board is needed. I love a new project.
  2. Valentine’s Day. My husband and I are not big Valentine day fans. TW, this was our baby son’s due date and it always feels so sad and empty. No matter how hard I try to distract myself, I always find myself wondering what he would be like, this year would have been his 16th birthday. I did have a little cry on my way home from work, just taking the time to remember him on this special day is still very important to me. Despite the sadness, I did make a little Valentine’s Day table scene and we all had a chocolate heart on our placemats at breakfast. At work we had a Valentines disco. I did embrace it and was dressed up in pink and red and wore my heart glasses we bought for ABBA voyage. It was a lot of fun and a lovely distraction.
  3. A weekend break. Our weekend was affected by rail works but rather than be frustrated and annoyed we changed our plans and added a night in Southampton en route. The bus replacement service was rather luxurious and went direct to the airport where we were staying in a hotel overnight. In the afternoon we went into Southampton and West Quay for a little browse and coffee and then went out for tea. A very pleasant day and I even managed to fit in a parkrun before we left.
  4. Wembley. We had very carefully planned our break in London and chose to stay at Wembley on Sunday night because of its proximity to the stadium and then planned to travel into central London the next morning. Wembley has changed so much since I was last there in 2008. It was a brilliant place to be on Sunday, so many attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants and pretty much pedestrianised everywhere . I loved the vibe of the area. When we got into our hotel room and opened the curtains we could not believe our view. There was the Wembley arch in all its glory, spectacular!
  5. Wembley stadium tour. For the boys, the trip to London was to tick off some more football stadiums on their new quest to visit as many as possible. The Wembley tour is brilliant and well worth the money. It was so interesting to see the history and then to learn about the new stadium structure. Wembley is mighty impressive. The tour included a trip to the changing rooms, the Royal box, onto the pitch etc.. There were also posters and memorabilia from other events. I totted up that I had been to Wembley, five times, I attended mass celebrated by the Pope in 1982, Reading FC in 1988, Bon Jovi in 1995 and Bristol City in 2000 and 2008. The Bon Jovi in concert is up there as one of the best night’s of my life, I will ‘always’ love Bon Jovi and their music.

There will be more of our London trip next week. I loved having a little mini adventure in the school holidays.

Five things this week …

Just a quick resume this week, my working week was very busy but the weekend was full of lively, family times. Here are my 5 things of the week.

  1. Our daughter came down for the weekend and I was eagerly counting down her visit. I ran out of work as soon as my students were gone to pick her up from the next town. Amazingly both my car and her train pulled in at exactly the same time and we were soon home for tea.
  2. On her first night home, my daughter, son and I had nibbles and settled down on the sofa under duvets. We were planning to watch a film but switched to the Squid Games which was strangely watchable. Such a cosy, happy evening.
  3. What a pun, ‘time to putt loose‘ a lovely homage to a classic 80s film, Footloose. On a very grey and miserable Saturday afternoon all the family went over to Mulligans for some crazy golf. My son ‘won’ although there were some dubious claims! Perfect entertainment.
  4. I have loved Rebel Ideas by Matthew Syed, such a clever book. Syed can explain difficult concepts in such clear language with great case studies. A 5 ⭐ read.
  5. The decorating continues … This time it’s the paint for our son’s bedroom makeover. Coastal grey seemed a great choice seeing as he has a sea view from his room. Hopefully all should be completed by next weekend and then we really need to take a pause on the decorating, we’ve done lots of rooms and projects in ‘25.

Next week is all about preparing for our London trip next weekend. I live a mini adventure.
